French firms to strengthen role in Abu Dhabi’s construction market
French companies based in the UAE have underlined their commitment to support the rapidly growing construction industry in the UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi, by stepping up their involvement in all aspects of the real estate sector.
At the 3rd annual Advanced Technology Forum held this week in Abu Dhabi and hosted by the French Business Group, a non-profit organisation that seeks to strengthen economic ties between France and the UAE, the focus lay primarily on the construction industry and provided French firms with significant insight into the requirements of local contractors and developers based in the UAE.

Shifting your HQ over the Channel has some advantages
Picture the scene. You have a comfortable three-bedroom house that's an 80-minute commute away from your London office. From today, you can swap it for a similar-sized property in northern France that's half of what it would cost in south-east England, leaving you enough for a pied-a-terre in the centre of Lille.
Rather than pushing your way on to the 6.36am from Faversham to Cannon Street (arriving at 7.54am), you could spend the same journey time travelling into St Pancras in a reserved seat. Throw in the added bonus of excellent restaurants, cheap food and good quality healthcare and schooling, and life on the other side of the Channel starts sounding like a no-brainer.

Paris Real Estate Market Remains Solid During 2nd Quarter 2007
Since last year, two major trends can be observed according to the Chamber: on the one hand the sales volume is declining and on the other hand the price increase is gradually diminishing. However, real estate prices keep on rising and demand for apartments remains strong.
As it accounts for about 50% of the transactions, the market of “unoccupied old apartments” is the most important single segment. During the first half of the year the notaries registered an increase of 1.6% p.a. and 18 823 sold units in Paris. During the same period only 237 newly built apartments were sold. Each year since 2001, about 7% of the buyers have been foreigners.
It is interesting to analyze the developments in the most popular districts. For many years the 6th arrondissement around “Saint Germain-des- Prés” with its cosmopolitan flair and countless fashion boutiques and cafes has been the most expensive. Surprisingly, this has now changed by a very narrow margin.

Luxury homes for sale and estate homes throughout France
The French Riviera is an appellation designation became a literary tourist and has never really been defined to the west, and the subject has not been without controversy concerned taking into account the tourist spillover. La création de la région Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur n'a apporté aucune précision nouvelle, au contraire. The creation of the Alpes - Côte d'Azur has provided no further clarification, on the contrary. Some would like to see the Côte d'Azur limited to the coastal fringe of the department of Alpes - Maritimes from the Italian border to the west of Mandelieu (common Mandelieu), the seafront of the department of Var is the Coast Var.
